Depart the Mainland

Your journey begins at Hillarys Boat Harbour, located approximately 25 minutes northwest of Perth CBD.

• Parking & Transfers: Free parking is available at Hillarys. Complimentary hotel transfers are available from selected major hotels in the Perth CBD for those without a car.
• Boarding: The stable, comfortable vessel makes the 45-minute crossing easy. Bikes are easily loaded onto the deck if you plan to cycle on the island.
• Onboard: Most seating is indoors, but two outdoor areas are available for fresh air and scenic views. Seasickness tablets are recommended if large swells are expected.

Upon arrival at Thomson Bay Jetty, visit the Rottnest Island Visitor Centre for maps and information to help plan your self-guided adventure. With no set itinerary, you have full freedom to explore.
