Ferry Information

The Rottnest Fast Ferry operates daily from the Hillarys Boat Harbour terminal in Sorrento. You can choose to depart at either 7:30 am or 10:00 am. The return journey is on the following day or the day after that, departing at 4:30 pm from Rottnest Island back to Perth.

Your journey begins at Hillarys Boat Harbour, located approximately 25 minutes northwest of Perth CBD. The harbour is easily accessible by car, or by a combination of train and bus services from both Perth and Fremantle.

The ferry service includes hotel transfers from selected Perth city hotels, which is ideal if you don’t have access to a car or prefer not to navigate the public transport system.

As you board, the crew will scan your ticket and load your bikes onto the deck, making it easy to bring your gear along if you plan to explore Rottnest Island by bike.

Most seating on board is indoors, but there are two outdoor areas available. For those who enjoy the fresh air and scenic views, these spots are perfect for taking in the journey to the island.
