Snorkeling

Seeing the magnificent underwater world with its marine life up close is an unforgettable experience. Corals are within arm’s reach at some reef sites at low tide. You will have several opportunities to explore the Outer Reef during your liveaboard. Floating over the corals will give you a spectacular view of the reefs, which are teeming with brightly coloured fish and coral. Our snorkel liveaboard tours offer up to five water sessions for every full day you stay. With plenty of time to snorkel, relax, try a glass-bottom boat tour and maybe even try a beginner’s Resort Scuba Dive – it’s up to you!

What is Certified Scuba Diving? Certified diving is for already qualified scuba divers who hold a minimum licence of ‘Open Water Diver level or higher. The Dive Supervisor will check your dive license at the start of your Reef Encounter tour. If you’re not already Open Water Certified or higher, check out our Resort Dive packages (no experience necessary) or become Certified with a Learn To Dive Course!
What are my tour options as a Certified Diver? Choose your accommodation type and how long you’d like to stay on the Great Barrier Reef, then add your dive package: – A Certified Diving Package Certified divers will be paired to dive together as buddies, following a site briefing of each dive site. Resort Intro Scuba Diving

Fantastic ‘no experience necessary’ scuba diving holidays for guests who do not hold a current scuba diving licence!
Resort scuba diving – also known as ‘introductory’ or ‘beginner’ scuba diving – is for guests who don’t hold a diving licence but wish to participate in fun scuba diving.
It’s a fun and safe activity, and no prior scuba diving experience is necessary. Whether it’s your very first time visiting the underwater world, or you’ve been scuba diving before – our professional Dive Instructors will guide you on fun and interactive tours around the pristine waters of the coral reef. Resort scuba diving may also be the right option for those with a scuba licence, but the scuba licence is not a full Open Water Dive Licence or higher and therefore cannot dive as a fully Certified Diver.

Effective April 1st, 2024.Certified divers have expressed a desire for longer dive times, while introductory divers have indicated a preference for more time or the option of snorkeling after a dive. Removing one water session from our day will enable us to enhance the guest experience in several ways. Certified divers will now enjoy 50-minute dives instead of the previous 40-minute duration for the 6:30am and 10:30am water sessions. Additionally, guests booking the introductory dive package will have the opportunity to go snorkeling upon returning from the morning dives. This adjustment will also provide snorkelers with more time in the water during the 6:30am and 10:30am sessions. Furthermore, starting April 1st, we will be discontinuing Night Introductory Diving. This decision prioritizes the safety of our guests, considering the evolving regulations and guidelines. However, I want to assure you that we will absolutely be continuing Night Diving for Certified Divers as normal.🌙✨
