OceanQuest Liveaboard Cruise
Experience the magic of the Great Barrier Reef with OceanQuest, our luxurious liveaboard vessel. Departing from Cairns, you'll spend your days and nights exploring the pristine outer reefs, with options for snorkelling, introductory diving, and certified diving.
Our spacious, three-deck catamaran is designed for comfort and adventure. Enjoy air-conditioned cabins with en-suites, a cosy lounge, and a well-stocked bar. Our onboard chef prepares delicious meals, from hearty breakfasts to gourmet dinners.
With over 14 permanent moorings at Saxon and Norman Reefs and selected sites at Hastings Reef, you'll have ample opportunity to explore the reef's vibrant marine life. Snorkel or dive with ease, and at night, embark on unique experiences like Shark Night Dive or Fluorescent Night Dive.
For those seeking to enhance their diving skills, our expert instructors offer a range of dive training courses.

Snorkelling
Experience the magic of the Great Barrier Reef with Divers Den's overnight snorkelling cruise aboard the luxurious OceanQuest. Spend your days and nights exploring the vibrant coral reefs, encountering a kaleidoscope of marine life, from colourful fish to majestic turtles.
Even if you've never snorkelled before, our experienced crew will guide you through the basics and ensure you have a safe and unforgettable experience. At night, embark on an exhilarating Sharks in the Dark snorkelling adventure, included in your trip.
Our comfortable accommodations offer air-conditioned cabins with en-suite bathrooms, a cosy lounge, a well-stocked bar, and entertainment facilities. Indulge in delicious meals prepared by our onboard chef, fueling you for your underwater adventures.
If you're feeling adventurous, you can even try introductory diving with our friendly and qualified instructors.
Certified Scuba Diving
During your Cairns overnight boat trip you’ll spend your days exploring the reef, fuelling up in between dives with hearty meals to keep you going. At night, the fun continues with our exclusive Sharks in the Dark and Fluoro Night Diving experiences. Overnight (liveaboard) Great Barrier Reef trips from Cairns are truly a remarkable adventure. With our exclusive moorings at Saxon, Norman and Hastings Reefs, certified divers can encounter a colourful array of marine life including fish, corals, turtles and more.
There’s so much diversity at different times of the day on the reef, and on an overnight experience, you can experience dives from early morning to night. At Divers Den your diving experience can be catered to your needs, we offer the option for certified divers to dive with a buddy or with one of our professional guides for a small extra cost, giving you the independence to explore the Reef how you like!
In between your Great Barrier Reef dives you’ll have plenty of time to rest and enjoy yourself on board our floating accommodation. From the comfort of your air-conditioned cabin with en suite bathroom to the relaxing surrounds of our sun decks, lounge and bar, you’ll love your Divers Den liveaboard experience.
Meals are freshly prepared on board by our resident chef, and there are snacks and drinks available to keep you fuelled and ready to explore the reef.

Introduction Scuba Diving
There’s no better place to get a taste of the thrill of diving than at the outer Great Barrier Reef on board our liveaboard vessel OceanQuest. Set off on an overnight cruise from Cairns and try scuba diving with our expert team, surrounded by some of the world’s most incredible marine life. On a live-aboard dive trip, you’ll have extra time to enjoy the experience of diving for the first time. Our friendly crew will take you through your briefings and teach you everything you need to know, then guide you through your first dive at one of our colourful dive and snorkel sites around the Saxon, Norman or Hastings Reefs. You’ll be in good hands with our professional team, entering the water with a maximum of four divers to one instructor. Once you’re feeling comfortable breathing underwater, you’ll learn how to descend safely to 12 metres (40 feet) and discover a whole new underwater world.
You can pre-book a package of two intro dives on OceanQuest. Subject to availability and trip duration, you may be able to add more dives once you’re on board.
In between dives and snorkel sessions, fuel up with delicious and plentiful meals served by our chef. Relax on board in the lounge or bar, or try our unique Sharks in the Dark activity and Snorkel experience night on the reef. Then drift off to sleep in your air-conditioned cabin with en suite and TV, ready to do it all again in the morning.
How many are scuba dives included with an Intro dive package?
2 Dives in the package, Introductory Dives can be added for an additional charge of $70 for 1 Dive or $120 for 2 dives. Extras dives can be purchased on board subject to availability.

- For solo travellers, shared accommodation will be arranged in a Quad Share bunk bedroom. The price single person is the same as that for a double/twin room.
- Upgrade Double Bed Room for couple, Extra Charge $30 per person per night*
- Medical Information: All introductory and certified scuba participants must meet medical questionnaire requirements and some conditions or medications may prevent you from diving. Visit the Can I Dive page to see if you meet the requirements before booking.
- Pricing is per person for double or triple occupancy (an additional surcharge applies for single occupancy).
- What to bring: Hat/Sunglasses/light jacket/socks/Camera/Travel Voucher/Certification card and logbook for certified divers/Cash or credit card for onboard extras
