Kayak to Wave Break Island

Departing from the iconic Broadwater, where our experienced and friendly tour guides will give you a kayaking safety induction, we will paddle through its spectacular waters, where you might have the chance to spot dolphins and stingrays. Whilst paddling through beautiful sandbanks, with a unique Gold Coast City view on the background, we will arrive to the Northern side of Wave Break Island, landing our kayaks next to a scenic spot that we like to call Dolphin Bay.

After a short bush-walk, we will arrive to Wave Break Island’s Eastern side, a stunning place that will take your breath away. Here, natural and man-made beauty are combined to create a picture-perfect background, the beautiful Gold Coast waterways with the city’s collection of skyscrapers on the horizon. Our tour guides will make sure to record this moment for your memories.

Snorkel at Wave Break Island’s Reef

Next, listen at our snorkelling induction whilst putting on your snorkelling gear and wetsuit in colder months (June, July and August) all gear provided by us, and get ready to explore the underwater beauty of this island. Swim in and discover many different species, from sea cucumber, trumpet fish, sergeant fish, and if you are lucky you can even find Doris. You will be welcomed in by the friendly reef locals, the Sea Perch and Angelfish, so get ready to watch them very close!

As you get out of the water, we will have a snack waiting for you (hot drinks provided during June, July and August). Enjoy it whilst admiring the amazing views, and get ready to start our journey back to the launch point.

No experience is required, as you will be paddling in our stable and comfortable kayaks with our professional team who will look after you during the whole tour.

The best part? Our tour guides will take photos during the whole tour, so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the experience, and we will make sure you remember it forever (all digital photos are included).

This tour depends on weather conditions and minimum numbers. If the minimum number required is not reached we will offer rescheduling options, and if unsuitable, you will be entitled to a full refund.

This tour is not recommended during pregnancy or if you suffer from back problems. Minors under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult to join the activities. Low to medium fitness level required.
