Hot Air Balloon Experience (40-60 minutes):

  • 04:00-04:15: Cairns Hotel pickup.
  • 06:30: Hot air balloon flight begins.

Things to Note

  • Price List in AUD.
  • If the Hot Air Balloon flight cannot proceed, guests may still enjoy the Jet Boat Ride , but will need to pay for the Bad Fishy Jet Boat experience fare. We can only refund the difference.
  • Important Details Children under 3 years old cannot participate.
  • Children 3 - 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Jetboat requires children to be 1.1m tall.
  • Children aged 13-17 years old can travel on the balloon flight by themselves, but must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the tour.
  • You must be able to climb up the 1.2 meter foothold ladder into the hot air balloon basket without assistance.
  • You must be able to stand for the duration of the flight.
  • Pregnant women and those who participated in diving the previous day are not suited to this activity.
  • Passengers with medical conditions or that have accessibility issues, please check with your doctor or specialist prior to booking.  At no time will a passenger be allowed to fly if their
  • judgment is impaired by alcohol, drugs, or prescription medicine  Due to weight and safety restrictions, handbags and backpacks may not be carried on the hot air balloon.
  • Please do not bring large bags. Unless the camera fails, digital photos will be provided every flight. If the camera fails, no compensation or refund will be given.
  • Please note that the timings might be adjusted due to seasonal changes, and the specific schedule is subject to the reservation confirmation you received.
  • It is recommended that you wear long pants and closed in shoes - no heels, slippers or skirts please.
  • Bring a jacket as it gets quite cool as the sun rises and please avoid white clothes.
  • Carry hats and sunglasses, and a fully charged camera for taking pictures.
  • If your flight time is from April to October (in winter), you need to wear warm clothes to prevent the cold; in other months, there will be warm airflow due to the burning of hot air balloons, so you do not need to wear warm clothes.
  • Following the Jet Boat ride, please make your own way back to your accommodation.
  • Hot air ballooning is contingent upon suitable weather conditions. Should we have to cancel due to unfavourable weather: If you decide not to rebook or cannot find an alternative date for the ballooning experience, the Jetboat tour will still be available for you on the scheduled afternoon, however, the cost of the Jetboat tour will no longer be complimentary and the standard retail price of the Jetboat tour will be deducted from the original payment when processing your refund.
  • If the jetboat cruise is cancelled by the operator, the complimentary ticket is not refundable or transferable. Refund Policy Following Rebooking: If you reschedule hot air ballooning, attend the jetboat tour before the rescheduled date, and subsequently decide to cancel the balloon ride within the acceptable cancellation timeframe, a refund is available. However, the regular retail price of the jetboat tour will be deducted from this refund.

Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation if cancel outside 3days. No refund if cancel within 3days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
