Our Fisherman’s Friend Morning Tea Cruise is a 1.5-hour sightseeing cruise that takes place on the stunning Terranora Lakes. You’ll be treated to morning tea, from our local baker, while our entertaining captain provides commentary on the region, history, and fishing industry from the trawler boats to the oyster farms.
Don’t forget to keep an eye out for some beautiful bird-spotting opportunities along the way!

Embark on a 90-minute adventure through the stunning Terranora Lakes aboard our eco-explorer vessel. Enjoy a delicious morning tea featuring local sweet treats and hot drinks as you take in the breathtaking views of the lakes and oyster farms.

Our experienced guide will lead you past bustling trawlers and into the heart of the Tweed Heads Fishing Fleet. Witness the skilled techniques of local fisherman as they work the lakes for their market supply. Learn about the history and ecology of the region, from fishing techniques to the fascinating wildlife that call this area home.

Keep your binoculars handy! You'll spot a variety of birds including pelicans, kites, ospreys and white-bellied sea eagles. Catch a glimpse of wading birds gathering their morning meal and fruit bats hanging out on their island.

  • Minimum 12 adults for guaranteed departure. Children 3-14yrs, under 2yrs free.
  • Please note: All our cruises depart on NSW Time - this can be ONE HOUR different to QLD time Cruises depart on AEDST (NSW - Daylight Savings Time). This is one hour later than QLD time over this period only - for example, 8 am in NSW is 7 am in QLD time. The time on your confirmation will show NSW time so if you are travelling on QLD time please take special note. Don't miss the boat! Please arrive 20 minutes before departure time to allow for boarding.
  • CAPTAIN'S AUTHORITY
    The Captain has complete authority regarding the management, operation and movement of the vessel. The Captain is not bound to comply with any order which, in the reasonable opinion of the Captain, might result in risk, damage or loss to the owner or charterer.
  • PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE
    Tweed Eco Cruises holds public liability insurance, however, all external suppliers will be required to provide their own as Tweed Eco Cruises' coverage is very specific to our venue and fit-out. No harm or damage to guests caused by any external supplier equipment, styling, decor, furniture or goods is covered by Tweed Eco Cruises.
  • CLEANING FEE
    A cleaning fee will be charged, at the discretion of Management, should the vessel premises be left in an unacceptable state.
  • ALCOHOL LICENSE AND DECORUM
    Tweed Eco Cruises in a fully licensed venue with RSA-certified staff. No BYO beverages are permitted.
    All drinks will be served until half an hour before the end of the charter, and amplified music permitted until 10 pm at the latest. Guests are to depart the marina no later than 10:30 pm. It is the responsibility of the charterer to ensure the orderly conduct of all guests on board. Please be mindful of our residential guests near the marina.
  • MENU & BEVERAGES
    As our menus are seasonal and regularly changing, some items may be substituted in accordance with availability.
    Please advise details of any food allergies when making or confirming your booking. If not received in time it may not be possible to cater to this requirement.
  • MOBILITY
    Some activities in our tours may require a reasonable level of mobility, such as embarking or disembarking vessels and coaches. It is your responsibility to notify us of any mobility constraints at the time of booking.
  • GENERAL
    Some events are beyond our control and we accept no liability caused directly or indirectly by such, including but not limited to war, terrorism, civil disturbance, fire, floods, acts of God, acts of Government or any other authority, accident or failure or machinery or equipment, or industrial action.
  • GRATUITY
    Gratuities are discretionary though appreciated by Tweed Eco Cruises staff.

Cancellation Policy

25% surcharge if change or cancel after order is placed. No refund if cancel within 7days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
