At Blue Lagoon Cruises, we pride ourselves on giving visitors to Fiji the best possible insight into this wonderful Pacific island nation. We believe that to experience the true essence of Fiji, you need to step ashore onto uninhabited islands, luxuriate in the warm tropical sea and discover the colourful world below. Meet local Yasawan villagers, savor traditional Fijian food, enjoy island walks, marvel at the most sacred of caves, and of course, bask on the palm-fringed beaches!
Blue Lagoon Cruises' itineraries have a maximum of four hours of cruising time per day, meaning you’ll have plenty of time for all these activities and more! Due to the nature of cruising, the scenic vista changes daily, and you’ll spend many mornings waking up to a new view, even more spectacular than the last.
The Fijian people are among the friendliest in the world and are characterised by their cheerful 'Bula' greetings, always accompanied with a big grin. You will immediately feel at home among Fijians and you certainly won't find it difficult to relax into their laid-back way of life, called 'Fiji Time'. One thing you'll instantly recognise is that the Fijian way of life is based largely on their history and traditional ceremonies that are passed down from one generation to the next for centuries.
So much to see and do so much on this cruise, the memories will last a lifetime! You'll see mother nature at her best, be welcomed into the friendliest culture in the world, discover an underwater world and swim in Fiji's famous crystal-clear waters.
Bula and welcome aboard Blue Lagoon Cruises! Set sail on M.V. Fiji Princess from Port Denarau for the outer Mamanucas. The first overnight anchorage is in a gorgeous secluded location
at Modriki Island, the location for the Tom Hanks movie Cast Away. Enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and canapés as you watch the sunset. The Captain’s Welcome Dinner is an à la carte meal
followed by entertainment from our talented singing, dancing, guitar-playing crew.
There is time to step ashore and enjoy a swim or wander along the beach before or after breakfast. Sea conditions permitting, there is an opportunity to swim with reef sharks at a secret location en route to our next destination. After lunch, we take a visit to the chiefly village of Soso while this evening, we’ll feast on a traditional Thali dinner. This will feature exquisite Indian dishes, followed by an extravaganza of Bollywood dancing and movies.
Sunday is a day of rest in Fiji. After breakfast attend a village church service, then we cruise southwards as you enjoy a traditional Sunday roast lunch. Join the Chef for today’s Fijian cooking demonstration on how to make the traditional dish Kokoda. Tonight’s buffet has a range of dishes from Fiji along with a choice of European dishes. There is bingo Fiji-style after dinner.
As M.V. Fiji Princess arrives at the stunning Sacred Islands you’ll feel as though you’re lost in paradise. The backdrop of the neighbouring Waya Lailai volcanic formations is breathtaking.
Spend the remainder of the day swimming, snorkelling and relaxing on the beach. Today you can learn how to make the Roti in Lolo dish, before our new 4-night cruise guests arrive. Watch the sunset and enjoy tonight’s Captain’s Welcome Dinner welcoming them on board.
Our destination today is the famed Blue Lagoon, a superb stretch of water ringed by pretty islands. Blue Lagoon Cruises has its very own private beach here — watch as the crew position M.V. Fiji Princess right up to the beach and tie her off to a coconut tree. Jump off the back into the turquoise waters or take a tender boat to shore where our full bar awaits you. You’ll dine
on the beach all day today, including morning and afternoon tea, a buffet-style lunch and a traditional Lovo meal cooked underground for dinner under the stars. Today’s activities include
snorkelling, fish feeding, non-motorised watersports, water aerobics and volleyball, and tonight enjoy a special traditional Meke performance by local villagers.
You’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the Blue Lagoon if you join our easy 40-minute guided walk to the other side of the island to visit Lo’s Tea House. Lunch is served on board as
M.V. Fiji Princess cruises north for a private guided visit to the amazing Sawa-I-Lau Caves. The village of Tamasua welcomes us for a Yaqona (Kava) ceremony, a guided walk around the village and a village-style seafood dinner.
This morning we take an optional excursion to the local island school before cruising to Drawaqa Island. Here, we’ll be joined on board by a marine biologist for a presentation on the local
marine life and the volunteer conservation work carried out in the area; during May to October you’ll have the opportunity to snorkel with the magnificent manta rays. Dinner this evening is
a BBQ on the Sky Deck (weather permitting) served under the stars. Tonight, our last night together, we party Fiji-style!
Enjoy breakfast on board as M.V. Fiji Princess cruises back to Port Denarau. Back at port you’ll be serenaded with the traditional Isa Lei farewell song by the crew, as your exploration
of the beautiful Yasawa Islands comes to an end.
