Departing Cairns, the 35-metre superyacht Evolution takes only 80-minutes to reach the first outer reef location - one of the fastest Cairns Great Barrier Reef Tours. You will visit two exclusive outer reef locations over 5 hours, with plenty of time to snorkel, relax and sunbathe on three deck levels.

25-minute Scenic Flight over The Great Barrier Reef

From Hastings Reef, you will board a luxury 6-seater helicopter where you will enjoy a 25-minute scenic helicopter flight over the Reef and Sand Cays back to Cairns.

Take to the air from our helicopter pontoon at Hastings Reef and enjoy a spectacular scenic flight onboard a 6-seater luxury aircraft from Nautilus Aviation. Experience the sheer size and beauty of the Great Barrier Reef and gain a true appreciation of one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Sightings of manta rays, turtles and other marine life are not uncommon on the reef scenic flight and if you’re flying with us in the winter months there is even a chance of spotting whales.

Day Tour Itinerary:

7:30am Checkin at Reef Fleet Terminal
8:00am Evolution departs Marlin Marina, Cairns
11:30am 3 hours snorkelling at 1st reef location and BBQ Lunch
1:00pm Evolution arrives at 2nd reef location for you to enjoy up to 2 hours snorkelling
2:45pm Depart reef on helicopter flight back to Cairns
3:15pm Arrive back in Cairns approx.

Do I need to complete a dive medical?

All divers must complete a Queensland Medical Questionnaire.

Certified divers must show an internationally recognised scuba card.

  • Price is for per person who over 3 years old.
  • Minimum age for Introductory divers and dive courses: 12+ years and Certified divers: 10+ years.
  • Please keep in mind that all divers are required to complete a medical questionnaire. In our commitment to the safety of our guests, divers over 65 years (or 45 years for PADI dive courses) must have a medical clearance with a physician the confirms they are Fit To Dive. This can be provided by your own GP before you leave for your holiday.
  • Please be aware that certain medical conditions (e.g. asthma, heart disease, diabetes) and/or prescription medication may prevent some people from diving. Please review our Introductory and Certified Diver Medical Declaration prior to travel. The purpose of this Medical Declaration is to find out if you should be examined by a physician before participating in recreational diving. A positive response to a question does not necessarily disqualify you from diving. A positive response means there is a pre-existing condition that may affect your safety while diving and you must seek the advice of a physician.
  • Scuba diving can be strenuous under certain conditions. Your respiratory and circulatory systems must be in good health. All body spaces must be normal and healthy. Please review our Introductory and Certified Diver Medical Declaration prior to travel.
  • In the interests of safety, we recommend no flying within 24hours of the last dive.

Important information:

  • Helicopter: 130kg weight restrictions apply for helicopter rides.
  • Diving: All divers must complete a Queensland Medical Questionnaire onboard. Certified divers must show an internationally recognised scuba card. Minimum age for Introductory divers and dive courses: 12+ years and Certified divers: 10+ years.
  • Semi-Sub: Please note that due to safety reasons, the Semi Submarine Tour is weather permitting.
  • The helicopter package is recommended to include a maximum of one scuba diving session as ADD-ON. If you wish to dive for a second time, it would be subject to "availability on the day" to check if there is enough time, and you may be required to pay an additional fee for the second scuba dive.

Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation if cancel outside 2days. No refund if cancel within 2days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
