Transfer to Coromandel Town:
All ferry services will include a free shuttle bus transfer to Coromandel Town which is approximately a 15 minute drive from Hannaford's Wharf.
For your return journey from Coromandel Town the shuttle bus will depart from the Coromandel Town Car Park. Departure times will be advised at time of booking.
Coromandel township is a vibrant village with connections to the early gold mining and logging history of the region with attractions including the 1900s Gold Stamper Battery and Driving Creek Railway. With a range of accommodation and local eateries you can explore the natural attractions of the region including local fishing and trails to explore on foot or by bike.

Transfer to Whitianga:
All ferry services will have the option to book a bus transfer to Whitianga* at an additional cost. Whitianga is located on the eastern side of the Coromandel Peninsula and is just over an hours drive from Hannaford's Wharf.
For your return journey the bus will depart from the Whitianga i-Site Visitor Information Centre located at 66 Albert Street. Departure times will be advised at time of booking.
Whitianga is a favourite kiwi summer destination with local attractions including Lost Springs Spa, Mountain Bike Park and Wheels within Walls Car Museum, along with a range of cafes and eateries. From Whitianga you can cruise to Cathedral Cove or ferry to Cooks Beach and explore the native bush and white sand beaches.

Top things to do in the Coromandel:
- Visit the famous Cathedral Cove either via the coastal walking track or from a boat or kayak tour
- Dig your own hot pool in the sand and relax at Hot Water Beach
- Snorkel or Dive the spectacular underwater seascapes or simply laze about at one of the pristine beaches located throughout the Coromandel
- Go fishing - hire a rod and fish off the rocks at one of our local scenic locations; catch a fishing charter from Hannaford's wharf around the numerous islands and mussel farms of the Hauraki Gulf; or travel to Whitianga for some of New Zealand's best east coats fishing spots around Mercury Bay and Mercury Islands
- Discover the iconic Driving Creek Railway and travel the small gauge railway up through beautiful natural bush to view the spectacular vista, and visit the historic Stamper Battery to learn about the ancient gold mining history of the region, both near Coromandel Town
- Walk the Coromandel Coastal Walkway or hike the Pinnacles
- Take your bike and cycle the trails in around the peninsula including the scenic Hauraki Rail Trail
