Tasmania Bridestowe Lavender Farm Shuttle | From Launceston

Bridestowe Lavender Farm is the largest lavender farm in Australia and is a spectacular sight when the lavender is in full bloom. The farm features a gift shop offering a wide range of lavender products, as well as a café serving homemade lunches and morning teas. It is also home to Bobbie the Bear.

During the Commercial Lavender Flowering Season – December and January

• The shuttle departs Launceston on most days. Please check the availability calendar for available departure dates and times.
• The journey to Bridestowe takes approximately 50–60 minutes.
• Most days will have a morning shuttle, with two morning services available on some days.
• An afternoon service may operate if there is sufficient demand.
• Spend approximately 2.5 hours at the farm, with time to explore the facilities, walk amongst the lavender fields, visit the gift shop and café, and see the distillery.
• The return journey to Launceston takes approximately 50–60 minutes.
• The shuttle requires a minimum of four adults to operate.
• If the minimum number of passengers is not reached, passengers may be asked to change their departure time to another available shuttle service to ensure the tour can operate.
• If booking numbers remain too low after adjusting departure times, passengers will be contacted to discuss the available options.
• Pick-up and drop-off are available from centrally located hotels in Launceston.
• Alternatively, the Launceston Transit Centre on Cimitiere Street will be the default pick-up and drop-off location.

During the Commercial Lavender Non-Flowering Season – February to November

Although the commercial lavender is not in full bloom during this period, the gardens feature a large selection of other lavender varieties, with some purple flowers normally visible throughout the year. There is also a wide variety of other plants, bulbs and flowers, providing plenty of colour to enjoy and photograph.

During the non-flowering season, there are two options available:

1. Book the shuttle service as outlined above. The shuttle requires a minimum of four people to operate.
2. Visit as part of the Bay of Fires Day Tour. If 2.5 hours at the farm would be too long, the Bay of Fires Day Tour offers an alternative option. The tour visits the lavender farm as its first stop, where the driver provides an interactive talk about the lavender before allowing approximately 40 minutes of free time for photos and to visit the gift shop. The Bay of Fires Day Tour operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and requires a minimum of two people to operate.
