Discover the unique birds, plants and animals of Alice Springs Desert Park on a self-guided tour. Get up close with dingos, wander through the kangaroo enclosure and listen to fascinating presentations.
Park entry includes access to talks, walking trails, the world’s largest nocturnal house and more.
No visit to Alice Springs is complete without this authentic wildlife experience.
Once you arrive at Alice Springs Desert Park, there is so much to see.

We recommend taking in the:

  • Nature Theatre Show (daily at 10 am in summer (1 November to 28 February) and daily at 10 am and 3.30 pm during winter (1 March to 31 October).
  • Nocturnal House (open daily from 9 am to 6 pm)
  • Survival in the desert presentation (daily at 11 am)
    Kata Tjuta: Walpa Gorge Walk
  • Big-screen movie (trace four and a half billion years of the evolution of the Australian desert during this cinematic presentation)
  • Dingo territory, kangaroos and aviaries

Transportation

  • Free coach pick up from hotels in Alice Spring , We leave Alice Springs at approximately 7.45am  & return to Alice Springs at around 12pm.

  • What are the departure and return times?We leave at approximately 1:00 pm and return at around 5:30 pm.Can I bring my family?Yes. Children aged 2 years and over are welcome on our tour and are charged at a child rate.All travellers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who will be responsible for their care.What should I bring on the tour?
    • Proof of booking (can include the e-version delivered to your email)
    • Water bottle (at least 1 litre)
    • Strong, non-slip walking shoes
    • Hat (wide-brimmed is best)
    • Flynet
    • Sunglasses
    • Sunscreen
    • Camera
    • Casual and comfortable clothing (cool, light clothing is best in summer and warm clothing for winter)
    • Travel pillow (we will be driving after nightfall)

    How many people are on each tour?

    We have a maximum of 21 people on each tour. You will travel in a comfortable air-conditioned bus.

    How fit do I have to be?

    There is a variety of short walks on this tour that can be enjoyed by all ages and fitness levels.

Cancellation Policy

15% surcharge if change or cancel after order is placed. No refund if cancel within 3days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
