The base cost is for departures from Hervey Bay/Bundaberg Airport/1770. For departures from Brisbane/Gold Coast Airport, an additional fee of $475 per adult and $289 per child applies, as per the price list.

Day 1: Arriving at Lady Elliot Island Resort → Snorkeling/Glass Bottom Boat Tour→Resort Dinner

Lady Elliot Island is located on the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef, 80km northeast of Bundaberg, just to the north of Fraser Island.

Taking a small plane from Brisbane/Gold Coast/Bundaberg Airport, you will arrive at the Great Barrier Reef, enjoying the beautiful coastal scenery of Queensland along the way. With a guide to introduce the stunning Lady Elliot Island, visitors can observe the underwater scenery from a glass-bottom boat and snorkel alongside a guide to observe the natural ecology of the Great Barrier Reef.

Departing from Brisbane/Gold Coast:

  • 06:30: Shuttle pick-up from Brisbane City Hotels or Gold Coast City Hotels (shuttle fee not included, self-driving to the airport is also possible)
  • 07:15: Boarding at Brisbane Redcliffe Airport
  • 06:45: Boarding at Gold Coast COOLANGATTA Airport 08:45: Arrival at Lady Elliot Island
  • 09:00: Island guided tour/assisted snorkelling by a dedicated guide on a glass-bottom boat.

Explore the island at your own pace, immerse yourself in the beautiful marine environment once again, and snorkel alongside a guide to appreciate the natural ecology of the Great Barrier Reef.

Day 3: Breakfast → Island Exploring at Your Own Pace → Return  Home

  • 14:30: Depart from Lady Elliot Island
  • 16:00: Return to Brisbane Airport
  • 16:45 - 17:15: Shuttle transfer back to Gold Coast or Brisbane city hotels (shuttle fee not included, alternative transportation arrangements can be made)

Accommodation

Eco Cabin - Sleeps four (13 Cabins)

Situated within a 20 to 30-meter walk from the Lagoon, our newly upgraded Eco Cabins have solid walls, louvres for maximum airflow, a large front glass sliding door and shared bathroom facilities. The Eco Cabins sleep up to 4 adults and the Eco Family Cabin (1 only) sleeps up to 5 adults. Lighting and power points are available in every cabin as well as a ceiling fan. The deck is furnished with two chairs for added relaxation.

Please note – there is a minimum stay of 3 nights during the Christmas/New Year period from 23 December 2023 – 2 January 2024.

Garden Units & Accessibility Rooms - Sleeps two or four (9 Units)

Situated within a 20 to 30-meter walk from the Lagoon, the Garden Units are arranged in blocks of three and are ideal for couples or families, offering either a queen bed or a combination of a queen and bunk-style beds. Each unit features polished timber floors, ensuite bathrooms and a balcony set amongst the resort gardens to make the most of the resort views. The units are fan-cooled and have a mini fridge and tea and coffee-making facilities. Three (3) of the nine (9) Garden Units have been designed as accessibility rooms to cater to the specialised needs of wheelchair users or guests with mobility issues. With an access ramp and larger bathrooms featuring wheel-in showers and handrails. For more information on our accessibility rooms please ask one of our friendly team members who will be happy to assist in making your accessible holiday dreams come true on the Great Barrier Reef.

Reef Units - Sleeps two or four (15 Units)

Located approximately 10 meters from the beautiful coral cay Lagoon, the Reef Units are the closest resort rooms to the Beachfront Dining Room. Arranged in blocks of three, they are ideal for couples or families, offering either a queen bed or a combination of a queen and bunk-style beds. Each unit features polished timber floors, ensuite bathrooms and a balcony to make the most of the island surroundings. The units are fan-cooled and have a mini fridge and tea and coffee-making facilities.

Transportation

  • Small on-the-island aircraft shuttle service to and from the island*
  • Departures from Brisbane (Redcliffe Airport) or Gold Coast (Coolangatta Airport) require guests to check in at the airport on their own (please arrive 30 minutes before departure). Optional arrangements for round-trip hotel-to-airport transfers can be made at an additional cost (refer to the price list for prices).
  • You can arrange your own transportation to the location by using Uber, driving yourself, or hiring a private charter (note that the latter option is more expensive; please inquire separately for pricing).
  • Airport Location : 
    For Bundaberg Airport (Lady Elliot Island/QantasLink counter), guests should check in at the Bundaberg Airport.
    For Hervey Bay Airport (Lady Elliot Island counter 'Terminal 2'), guests should check in at the Hervey Bay Airport.
    For Agnes Water Airport (The Agnes Waters Airstrip: Air Strip, 217 Captain Cook Dr, Agnes Water QLD 4677).
    For Self-driver/Uber to the airport from the Gold Coast, the address is Seair Pacific hangar at 16 Lores Bonney Circuit, Coolangatta, QLD.
    For Self-driver/Uber to the airport from Brisbane, the address is Redcliffe Aerodrome, Wirraway Dr, Rothwell QLD 4022 (Redcliffe).

Notices

  • The currency for the itinerary is Australian Dollars (AUD).
  • This itinerary requires a minimum of 2 participants to register.
  • There will be a surcharge for single-participant bookings.
  • The rate is per adult/per night.
  • The sole adult rate available on request would be a $150 surcharge and accommodation fee
  • Only valid in Eco Cabins, Garden and Reef Units. Not valid in Glamping Tents or 2-bed Beachfront Units

  • Sightings of marine life cannot be guaranteed.
  • Flights depart from Bundaberg or Hervey Bay/Fraser Coast
  • Flights are also available ex Brisbane (Redcliffe) & Gold Coast for an additional charge as the price list displayed
  • Children aged 3 to 12 years can stay with 2 adults without occupying a separate bed. If an extra bed or separate bed is required for the child, please contact our customer service for pricing.
  • The basic quoted price is per person for double occupancy or triple/quadruple occupancy.
  • We recommend booking at least 10 working days in advance for better arrangements.
  • Christmas/Peak season/weekend holidays/school holiday periods may have limited availability for group size and accommodations with extra charge
  • In the event of hotel occupancy, we may need to offer alternative hotels or room upgrades.
  • Our company reserves the right to adjust accommodation prices before issuing tickets.
  • If the price is higher than the original price, you can choose to accept or request a refund. Once the tickets are issued, changes to the itinerary cannot be made.
  • The tour guide has the discretion to adjust the itinerary order based on specific weather conditions, road conditions, force majeure, etc.

Cancellation Policy

15% surcharge if change or cancel after order is placed. No refund if cancel within 30days.
Noticed: If you would like to cancel, please kindly email us to cancel the tour at least 2 business days prior to this cancellation period. Once cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 7-28 business days.
Cancellation notification needs to be formally replied receipt by us during our office hours as acknowledgement.

NOTE: FIT TRAVEL would adopt suppliers' cancellation policy. Cancellation fees, if any by the suppliers, will be charged according to the supppliers' cancellation policy ( FIT TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees ).
With this specific product's cancellation policy, the suppliers reserve the right of final interpretation.
If your order only pays the deposit of a product: a, if the product has available seats on the departure date and price and contents are the same as the order you placed, the booking would be confirmed by us without additional notification to you, and the deposit is not refundable. b, if the product has no available seats or price or contents are not the same, we might provide alternative options. If you do not agree with the options, the deposit is refundable.
